About Me

Hi! So you must be interested in the author of Cold Calls & Meatballs. If you don't already know me, my name is Erica. I graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Finance and Marketing and began my career as a finance recruiting manager in Portsmouth. I had a food blog for three years in college (click here - Gourmet Taste for the College Buds), where I shared favorite recipes and occasional funny stories coinciding with the dishes. After bringing in treats to the office for a couple of months, and having clients ask me for a recipes, I was inspired to start back up again. I decided to call it Cold Calls and Meatballs, because cold calling clients was my favorite part of that job.

(Just kidding - people aren't supposed to like cold calling.)

Since then I have started a new job as an accountant and have moved to Portland, ME - though "cold calling" is no longer relevant, I'm still wrapped up in the business world by day and escaping the work week by spending time in my kitchen developing recipes. My goal is to create an outlet for my creative culinary side, and to have a place to share recipes for friends, family, coworkers and clients to be able to try out and enjoy.  I personally can't eat wheat, but I have an unbreakable habit of creating my favorite glutenous treats for my loved ones. Therefore, you will find all sorts of delicious recipes on this blog - from nutrient dense, healthy tree hugging dishes to 12 sticks of butter and everything in between. I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
